My stay at Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto was good. The location on Collins Street made it so easy to explore the city. Although the room had a few dated elements, it was well-maintained and spacious, which I appreciated.

Rooms
8.0
The room was comfortable and spacious, though slightly dated. The king bed provided luxurious bedding but had a partition down the middle.
Service
10.0
The concierge service was standout; they helped book a musical ticket at a lower price. All staff, from housekeeping to front desk, were friendly and accommodating.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is superb. Just a short walk to tram stops and Flinders St Station, making it easy to access the city's attractions.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was decent, though I expected a bit more from the buffet for a hotel of this caliber. It felt more basic than I anticipated.
Facilities
8.0
I utilized the room service and housekeeping, both of which were prompt and efficient. The facilities included helpful services like dry cleaning and tour assistance.

6.0/10

My stay at Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto had its ups and downs. I appreciated the luxurious amenities and the attentive staff, but I was disappointed with the room service and overall upkeep. The location was convenient, but Internet was slow, and the dining experience could have been better.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms had limited views and lacked natural light, which was disappointing. Even though they were comfortable, I had to remind the receptionist to service my room twice during my stay.
Service
5.0
The staff were professional and welcoming, which was a highlight of my experience. However, some aspects of service, especially room servicing, left much to be desired.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, right in the heart of Melbourne with easy access to the tram and nearby attractions, making it very convenient for my business needs.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience did not meet my expectations, particularly the breakfast which seemed basic for a hotel of this caliber. I expected more variety and quality.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered various facilities, but I found the room service to be lacking and the air conditioning had issues. The maintenance of the common areas also needs improvement.

5.8/10

The Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto has a fantastic central location that's perfect for exploring the city, though there are a few hiccups in service and facilities. I enjoyed the comfortable bed and the well-designed rooms (especially the view from my outward-facing room), but service at the restaurant was a bit slow, and I encountered issues with room amenities not being replenished. Overall, it’s a stylish place with potential, but it could use some attention to detail.

Rooms
7.0
I was pleased with the spacious design of my outward-facing room, which provided a much better atmosphere than the interior-facing room I had previously. However, I did notice that some items like tissues were not consistently replenished, which was disappointing.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and attentive, particularly at the concierge desk, which made my stay more enjoyable. However, the restaurant staff felt a bit robotic and uninterested at times, which detracted from the overall experience.
Location
9.0
I absolutely loved the hotel’s prime location right in the business district—everything Melbourne has to offer is within walking distance, and the free circular tram service was a big plus for getting around.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was impressive with a wide variety of options. However, I found the service in the dining area to be slower than expected, which was a bit frustrating during peak hours.
Facilities
6.0
The fitness facilities and pool area felt a bit outdated and not as luxurious as I had hoped for a 5-star hotel. Despite this, I appreciated the clean room and the variety of services offered like room service and valet parking.

My stay at Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto was generally positive, highlighted by the excellent service from the staff and the fantastic breakfast. However, I did encounter some issues with room cleanliness and noise that detracted from the experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was of a high standard and very comfortable. But I did notice some cleanliness issues, like spots under the bed and leftover items from the previous guests.
Service
9.0
Most of the staff were polite and extremely helpful, going out of their way to assist. I had a particularly supportive experience with the first aid services provided after my fall.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Melbourne. I found it easy to walk to various attractions and access tram stops.
Dining

Breakfast was a highlight for me, offering a beautiful variety of fresh produce and warm dishes. I did have some issues with dinner service being less than satisfactory during my stay.

The facilities were well-maintained, with a lovely pool and gym area. The amenities definitely contributed to a relaxing stay, though I encountered some noise from the restaurant during peak hours.

7.0/10

My recent stay at the Intercontinental Melbourne The Rialto had its highlights and disappointments. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and I enjoyed the comfortable bed and attentive service in the Club Lounge. However, the room left much to be desired with issues like stained furniture and inconsistent housekeeping. Overall, while I appreciated the amenities, there were several aspects that nudged the experience below expectations.

Rooms
6.0
I found the room to be spacious with comfortable bedding, yet I noticed it was a little tired and in need of updates. The furniture was stained, and the outdoor area was not clean, which was disappointing, especially for a high-end hotel.
Service
5.0
The service had its ups and downs. While the Club Lounge staff were helpful and friendly, overall service felt a bit lacklustre, with long waits for room service and occasional forgotten requests. Check-in was a bit chaotic, too.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, easily within walking distance to the city center and various attractions, which made getting around a breeze. I loved being close to everything, including the tram stops.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast selection, boasting a nice variety of fresh food options. Room service was generally quick and of good quality, but I felt the meals at the hotel restaurant were a bit overpriced for what was served.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like the swimming pool and spa were well-maintained and enjoyable, providing a perfect retreat. However, the lack of comprehensive information about services and amenities made it difficult to navigate some of the hotel’s offerings.
